Consider All Lives Mattered only when All Animal Lives also Matter
Mahatma Gandhi: Where there is love there is Life. One can judge a Nation by the way it treats its animals.
Violence has never saved lives, achieved lasting peace, ended hunger and poverty and improved the quality of life for the humanity at large.
Albert Einstein: There is an extremely powerful force that, so far, science has not found a formal explanation to. It is a force that includes and governs all others, and is even behind any phenomenon operating in the universe and has not yet been identified by us.
This universal force is LOVE.
When scientists looked for a unified theory of the universe they forgot the most powerful unseen force. Love is Light that enlightens those who give and receive it.
Love is gravity, because it makes some people feel attracted to others. Love is power, because it multiplies the best we have, and allows humanity not to be extinguished in their blind selfishness. Love unfolds and reveals.
For love we live and die. Love is God and God is Love.
This force explains everything and gives meaning to life. This is the variable that we have ignored for too long, maybe because we are afraid of love because it is the only energy in the universe that man has not learned to drive at will.
To give visibility to love, I made a simple substitution in my most famous equation.
If instead of E = mc2, we accept that the energy to heal the world can be obtained through love multiplied by the speed of light squared, we arrive at the conclusion that love is the most powerful force there is, because it has no limits.
After the failure of humanity in the use and control of the other forces of the universe that have turned against us, it is urgent that we nourish ourselves with another kind of energy…
If we want our species to survive, if we are to find meaning in life, if we want to save the world and every sentient being that inhabits it, love is the one and only answer.
Perhaps we are not yet ready to make a bomb of love, a device powerful enough to entirely destroy the hate, selfishness and greed that devastate the planet.
However, each individual carries within them a small but powerful generator of love whose energy is waiting to be released.
When we learn to give and receive this universal energy, dear daughter Lieserl, we will have affirmed that love conquers all, is able to transcend everything and anything, because love is the quintessence of life.(Excerpts from letters from father to daughter).
The Voice: All lives are created equal. Cruelty, violence, torture, slaughter, killing for pleasure has no place in a civilized World. Greedy, selfish, biased individuals and groups and profit oriented cattle farms, pig farms, dairy farms and chicken farms and more must be dealt with effectively by all employees of governmental agencies-local, state and federal who are paid by the tax payers. Willful negligence, unethical lobbying and corruption have no place in the United states and must be dealt with the fullest extent of the Law.If you see abuse report the abuse and hold the responsible accountable.
President Barack Obama: Thank you for writing. I share your concern for animal welfare, and I know how important it is to many Americans that we get this issue right.
My Administration will keep working to protect animal welfare in areas where there is a role for the Federal Government. Please know I value your perspective, and I appreciate your thoughts on how we can meet our responsibilities.
Thank you, again, for taking the time to write. I encourage you to visit www.WhiteHouse.gov to learn more about my Administration or to contact me in the future.
Sincerely,
Barack Obama
Member of Congress Susan Davis: Thank you for writing with your support for the BEST Practices Act. I appreciate hearing from you and apologize for the delayed response. Each week, I receive more than 2,000 letters, faxes, and e-mails and cannot always personally respond as quickly as I would like.
Animal welfare is an issue I care deeply about. No animal deserves to be treated with cruelty, and I have worked hard in the past to pass legislation that protects animals from abuse. I will continue to work to end all forms of animal cruelty.
Congressman Hank Johnson introduced the BEST Practices Act on February 26, 2015. It has been referred to the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Military Personnel, on which I serve as Ranking Member. While I do not cosponsor bills that fall under the jurisdiction of my subcommittee, please know that I will keep your thoughts in mind should the Chairman bring this bill up for discussion and debate.
Once again, thank you for contacting me. As your representative, I both need and value your perspective. Please sign up for my E-Newsletter at my website http://house.gov/susandavis/ if you would like to receive regular updates about what is happening in Congress.

Thank you for contacting me to share your views on the slaughter of horses for human consumption.
I appreciate hearing from you and share your views on this matter. That is why I have cosponsored H.R.1942, the Safeguard American Food Exports Act, which prohibits the sale or transport of horses for the purpose of human consumption.
In 2006, the House passed H.R.503, which amended the Horse Protection Act “to prohibit the shipping, transporting, moving, delivering, receiving, possessing, purchasing, selling, or donation of horses and other equines to be slaughtered for human consumption.” This bill had broad support in the House of Representatives with 203 cosponsors, but lapsed in 2011. H.R. 1942 is needed to address this lapse.
Thank you again for contacting me. In San Diego, we know what kind of results we can achieve when we work together, and that is the approach I am bringing to Washington. Thank you for writing to me about the importance of acknowledging and preventing human trafficking. I appreciate hearing your take on this particularly difficult issue.
As a father, I share your concern for the safety of women and children who have become victims of human trafficking. It is essential that we work not only to protect the victims of sex trafficking, but also ensure that those responsible for these heinous crimes be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. That is why, in my first term of Congress, I cosponsored Representative Vargas' bill, H.R.1690, the Child Protection Act of 2013. This legislation would close a loophole in criminal law that would allow courts to punish people who engage in the sex trafficking of minors regardless of whether they know the victim's age or not.
Though this is an important step, there is still a lot left to be done. As Congress debates legislation that would crack down on sex trafficking, I will support efforts to ensure the safety of our community and to hold those responsible accountable.
Thank you again for contacting me. If you have any further concerns on this or any other matter, I hope you'll be in touch. Thank you for contacting me to express your views on the military's use of animals in medical training exercises. I appreciate hearing from you on this important issue.
Effective January 1, 2015, the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) has ended the use of animals in many areas of military medical training. This was an important step forward in ending the outdated and unnecessary use of live animals in medical training programs.
I agree that animals should not be forced to suffer unnecessarily when better training alternatives – such as mannequins or computerized simulations – exist. Be assured that I will continue to monitor this issue closely as DOD keeps working to transition to more modern and effective methods to achieve the valuable training that helps save the lives of our service men and women.
Again, thank you for writing to me. Please feel free to write to me in the future about this or any other issue of concern to you.
Sincerely,
Scott Peters
